Using mounted white LED panic lights and sound features, MoDOT employees developed an effective way to improve safety for truck-mounted attenuator vehicles and the traveling public. See the project page for details and video demonstrations.

Innovations Exchange

What works for you? No Boundaries is soliciting and compiling innovative agency practices in roadway maintenance through a new innovation submission form and database. The goal is to share the practices widely through this website and future technology transfer events.

New Maintenance Discussion Forum

No Boundaries created an online forum using Google Groups to help maintenance professionals explore a wide range of non-winter-related issues with peers and partners.

MMS Systems: State of Practice

No Boundaries recently surveyed DOTs nationally to find out current practices, challenges and recommendations for using maintenance management systems. See the summary report, which compiles responses from 33 states.

The No Boundaries pooled fund project (#TPF-5(330)) is a community of practice for roadway maintenance professionals around the country. The group focuses on identifying innovative technologies and practices used by state DOTs and then promoting their use by other states through marketing materials, training classes, webinars and other technology transfer efforts.
